Good day, everybody. Dr. Nick here. Today, I want to talk to you about something that was in the news a few years ago, and it’s a question. What is your lust language? Many folks know what a Love Language is, but I believe even more people are in the dark regarding their lust language. So, what is your lust language?
Stephanie Siegler, a certified sex therapist, says understanding what your partners’ lust language is very important because “it’s all about what they want to receive.” Joy Berkheimer, a licensed marriage and family therapist, says your last language speaks to your arousal…“It’s the way your brain and your body receive the message that I want someone to connect more deeply with someone.” So here is another question for you. How many different types of lust languages are there?
According to PureWow, there are four primary Lust Languages: romantic, harmonious, connected, and primal. The romantic lust language involves people who are triggered by setting the mood with candles, wine, and a lot of personal effort. The Harmonious lust language is rooted in support, teamwork, and a sense of security (e.g., taking care of your chores so you can relax). The connected lust language requires a deep emotional link and feeling known and understood on an emotional and physical level. The primal lust language focuses on intense physical energy and or a “bucket list” approach or non-traditional scenarios.
Another expert uses something called Sexual Blueprints, and she has 5 lust languages. 1. Energetic – driven by energy and electricity; 2. Sensual – focused on touch, scent, and taste; 3. Kinky – triggered by specific role play or fantasy scenarios; 4. Sexual – high libido and focus on direct sexual acts; and 5. The Shape Shifter – flexible and adaptable to the partner’s preference.
Last question. So how do you find your lust language? Luckily, there are tons of quizzes and surveys on the Internet that will guide you towards finding and discovering your lust language, and hopefully developing into a more sexually healthy individual. Do you agree or disagree with the concept of “lust languages”? If you do or do not, please feel free to leave a comment down below, and tell me about your lust language. Thank you for reading, Dr. Nick.
